» U.S. Green Building Council
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC®) was founded by David Gottfried in 1993. The USGBC is a non-profit trade organization that promotes sustainability in how buildings are designed, built and operated. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating systems were introduced in 1994 and are now used in over 100 countries as a credible green building standard.

» Green Building Certification Institute
The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) was established in January 2008. GBCI currently manages the (LEED) Building Certification and the LEED AP Professional Accreditation processes for individuals via exams and credentialing maintenance classes.

» National Center for Craftsmanship
The National Center for Craftsmanship (NCC) is a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to the Preservation, Enhancement, and Sustainability of Quality Craftsmanship. Working with industry, institutional, and government partners, the Center provides education, training, community service, and research to support the retention and extension of craft skills at the local, regional and national levels.
